NINE STATIONS BY DAVID FELIX

NINE STATIONS are

A collection, a taxonomy, a set ( a cupboardful, a shelf full )

A peg to hang my hat on / a structure, a base with which to work, to explore

Containers, vessels, holders

A way of dealing with intake, with the use of, the object in your hands that does,

That delivers, fragrance, a flavour, light, resonance,

A serving, a helping, a portion of . . .

Something for use /  of use in the day to day

Signifying a moment, an action, a domestic activity

An opening, a closure / open and closed

Endings and beginnings

Linear narrative, also read vertically / diagonally

a pause in the narrative – a moment of recognition

Landscape and architecture

A diagram of celebration / making connections

This was an idea that came out of nowhere – just floated into the head - as ideas can – arrived as a possibility, stayed there, compelling, – providing a clear, odd-numbered structure, a symmetry, as a framework on which to build – and turned out as it happened, to be the first of a series.

Private View – Thursday 17th November 6pm-8pm.
