Angela Summerfield’s 15-year retrospective offers a rare opportunity to see some of this London artist’s major works in Cheltenham. The exhibition’s theme celebrates the presence of trees in all our lives. ‘To wander amongst the trees’ explores the analogous vitality we share with trees, through the categories of Landscapes of Wonder, Transfigurations & Evocations, Tree Portraits and Treescapes. Sources for inspiration include the artist’s own parkland-style garden, with over 60 trees, and the glorious countryside and arboreta of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
